- The 4284a displays four different screens. Each screen is called a
page and each has a different purpose in relation to instrument operation.
By changing from one page to another, different functions and capabilities,
such as measurement set up, measurement, etc., are made available.
Display paging is controlled by the PAGE CONTROL keys.
MEAS DISPLAY PAGE
This page is displayed every time the instrument is turned on or by pressing the MEAS DISPLAY key. The main purpose of this page is single measurement (manual or continuous) and result display. Also, some elemental parameters of measuring can be changed in this page.
The MEAS SETUP page is displayed when the softkey is pressed while the MEAS DISPLAY page is displayed or whenever the MEAS SETUP key is pressed. This page is intended to change measuring parameters such as measurement frequency, oscillator level, type of measure, etc.
The LIST SWEEP DISPLAY page is displayed when softkey 4 is pressed on the MEAS DISPLAY page. On this page measurement can be performed in list mode, allowing to do up to 8 measurements with different frequencies at the same time.
The LIST SWEEP SETUP page is displayed when softkey 4 is pressed on the MEAS SETUP page. On this page the operator must define the different frequencies to perform measurement in list mode.
